Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles and Addorratto (Olivo) Romano; husband of the late Elizabeth M. (Camilloni) Romano; father of Lucille T. Romano; grandfather of Lisa M. Barbary; brother of the late Cecilia Baker, Carl Romano, Lydia Ranalli, Louis Romano and Edith Ceprano.
Mr. Romano had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday, 9:30-11 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, 65 Fruit Hill Avenue, Providence. Graveside burial with Military Honors will be in the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Church.
