He was the beloved husband of Marie (Martellini) Manfredo for 61 years; loving father of Peter Manfredo, Paul Manfredo (Karen), Louis Manfredo (Carolyn), Michael Manfredo (Bobbie), Stephen Manfredo (Donna), and Maria Macaruso (Nick); cherished grandfather of 24 and 12 great-grandchildren; and brother of Ann Nason (George).
Louis was a lifelong resident of Federal Hill and a mutual clerk at the former Lincoln Greyhound Park for 40 years. He was a backhoe operator for St. Ann Cemetery, a member of the Laborers’ Union Local 271 and had served in the U.S. Army. He was also an avid New York Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. with funeral services Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Ghost Church, 1 Knight Street, Providence, followed by burial with Military Honors in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Please omit flowers.
