Louise E. Chesney

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Concetta (DeSimone) Tirocchi.

Louise was sales representative for Talbots of Garden City. She was also a hairdresser for over 60 years and was a member of the St, Mary’s Rosario Society. She enjoyed gardening, drawing and preserving vegetables, but mostly she loved spending time with her grandkids. She was so proud of their accomplishments. You could always find her with a new craft to make and candy always in Nona’s drawer.

She was the loving mother of Robert J. Chesney and his partner Elizabeth Mason and David S. Chesney, MD and his wife Leah Chesney and cherished grandmother of Robert A. Chesney, Joseph D. Chesney, twins Nicholas J. and Alexander R. Chesney and Olivia G. Chesney and great grandmother of Lilith A. Chesney. She was also the sister of Dolores Lioce, Gerald Tirocchi and the late John Tirocchi and Marie DeMartin.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 4-7 PM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Louise’s memory to the World Wildlife Fund & ASPCA
