Louise C. (Tomasso), 87, passed away March 25, 2016 at home. Beloved wife of the late Richard N. Gabriele; daughter of the late Rocco and Elvira (Scaramuzzelli) Tomasso; mother of the late Carl R. Gabriele. She was the cherished grandmother of Cristen A. Henderson and her husband David; great-grandmother of Matthew and Joshua; mother-in-law of Carol A. Gabriele; sister of Edward Tomasso and the late George, David and Anthony Tomasso. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Louise worked as a secretary for the City of Providence and the State of RI for many years. She loved cooking, entertaining and spending time with family. She helped everyone that she could and was always there to support her family and friends.
Visitation and funeral will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Louise Gabriele-Gallishaw Fund at SCEC, 2201 G.A.R. Highway, Swansea, MA 02777.
