

Lydia J. (Delfino) Esposito, 96, of Cranston passed away on January 4, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph I. Esposito and the cherished mother of Theresa McVey and her late husband William and Joseph C. Esposito and his wife Maria. She was also the daughter of the late Carmine and Carmela (Cimaglia) Delfino and sister of the late Emily Delfino, Mary Cambio, Paul and Carlo Delfino and Anna Tessitore.
She adored her cat Ginger and her predecessors Missy and Sidney.
Lydia was a cashier at Ann & Hope for many years before retiring in 1988. She enjoyed needlework and word games on her iPad and she was on Facebook every day and texted her family and Googled whatever she was curious about. She was a wonderful cook and baker.
She was a woman of deep faith who said several rosaries a day.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 10:00 AM in St. Pius the V Church, 240 Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lydia’s memory to the Saint Vincent DePaul Society, St. Pius V Conference, 240 Eaton Street, Providence, RI 02908.
