M. Rita Boyle

PROVIDENCE -- Boyle, M. Rita (Barry), 84, of Smith Street, died Wednesday at Scalabrini Villa Health Care Center in North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Russell J. Boyle.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Philip and Fedora (Labonte) Barry, she had resided in Providence for all of her life. She also spent her summers in the Mount View Community in North Kingstown for many years.For over 40 years, Rita was a supportive and dedicated partner of the Russell J. Boyle Funeral Home that she and her late husband Russell founded. She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Alumnae Association.She leaves her three children, Barbara S. Gaulin of Palm Coast, FL, Janet B. Welch of North Kingstown and Thomas C. Boyle of Providence, six grandchildren, Russell J., Brian J. and Amy J. Marcantonio, Sean R., Kathryn E. and Edward T. Boyle, and a great-grandson, Ryan J. Marcantonio. She was the sister of the late Philip J. Barry and Albert Barry.Her funeral will be held Monday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am in St. Patrick Church, 244 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Sunday, 3 - 6 pm.
