Manuel Rivas, 88, of West Warwick, RI died peacefully on February 2, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.Born in Havana, Cuba he was the son of the late Manuel Rivas & Victoriana Rivas. He was the husband of Victoria Rivas, they married on November 6th 1954. Father of Manuel Rivas Jr. and the late Robert Rivas, grandson Christopher R. Rivas, daughter in law Martha Brown, and niece Marcia Mansolillo.He worked at General Electric base plant in Providence as a machine operator for 22 years retiring in 1992. The family would like to give their heartfelt thanks to the Sisters, nurses and staff of Scalabrini Villa for the love and care that they showed.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 10:00 am, in Saint Mary Church, 70 Church Street, West Warwick to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
