ProvidenceManuel Tavitian, 105, of Vale Street, died Tuesday evening at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Paylazo (Kasarjian) Tavitian. They were married for over sixty- five years.Born in Baghdad, Iraq, a son of the late Tavit and Mourasa Tavitian, he lived in Providence for the past thirty-six years.Mr. Tavitian was a chef at the Armenian School in Baghdad for many years before retiring.Beside his wife, he leaves three sons, Tavit and his wife Soula, Ishkhan and his wife Ardemes, and Vartan; a daughter, Ishkhanouhi; and two grandchildren, Manouel and Angel. The visiting hours will be held Saturday morning, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home. 331 Smith Street, Providence. Funeral Service at 11:00 am in Sts Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence. Burial will be in North Burial Ground.
