

Manuel J. “Bud” Trombely, 64, passed away October 20, 2014. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Manuel and Mary (Vinacco) Trombley; husband of Barbara Day Trombley and the late Deborah Ann (Persechino) Trombley - his best friend for 30 years with whom he has two children: Jennifer M. Masse and her husband Troy, and Keith S. Trombley, Sr. and Kathleen Monahan; grandfather of Ashley, Troy, Keith, Jr. Lauren and Briella; brother of Stephen Trombley and his wife Carol.
Manny attained a BS in Electronic Engineering Technology and Business from New England Institute of Technology in 1992 and has extensive experience in electronics and chemistry field working in the semiconductor air quality industry. He traveled extensively servicing major manufacturers of semiconductor devices throughout the US and Asia. He was also a laboratory manager of an R&D Air Quality Control Laboratory and frequently maintained the air quality systems for The National Archives in Washington DC.
In 1999 Manny was awarded the Carnegie Metal for Heroism as well as being recognized by the State and Town of North Providence for his efforts in saving the lives of his two elderly neighbors from a house fire.
Most recently he was enjoying retirement and his passion for sailing, cooking, and spending time with family.
Visitation will be held Friday, 10:30-12 noon followed by a funeral service at 12 noon in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
