Obituary of Margaret "Peggy" M. Criscione
Margaret M. “Peggy” (Luca) Criscione, age 79, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Criscione Sr. For more than 58 joyful years, they moved through life choosing to spend everyday together, loving and sharing in each other’s company. Born in Providence, she was the dedicated daughter of the late Joseph and Eleanor (Marsden) Luca. Peggy was the devoted mother of Maria L. Pimentel and her husband Fred Pimentel; John J. Criscione and his partner Laura DeConti; and the late Joseph P.J. Criscione Jr. Peggy was the cherished Nana of Kayla Pimentel, Corrin Wohlhieter and her husband Brian Wohlhieter, Kacey Pimentel, Julianna Criscione, and Luca Criscione. She was the beloved sister of Helen Warburton, Stephen Luca, Thomas Luca, and John Luca. She will also be missed by her many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and neighbors. Peggy cherished time spent with her family and friends. The daily guests in her home were always welcomed with open arms and a home cooked meal. Evenings spent around her kitchen table were filled with card games, stories, and laughter, and you could always count on homemade baked goods served with decaf coffee. When she wasn’t hosting or working in the finance department at Hasbro Toys, you could find her sewing, crocheting, reading, or chatting on the phone. Her love for others, made clear by her willingness to listen intently and care deeply, allowed her to maintain lifelong friendships. Peggy’s love for her children and grandchildren could be felt daily as she shared in every moment of their lives. Her visitation will be held Friday, March 17th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and funeral Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St, Providence followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
