Margaret J. Doyle

Barrington: Doyle, Margaret J. (Taylor), 93, of Lillis Ave, Entered into Eternal Life surrounded by her loving family on Monday at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Doyle for 58 years.Born in Roscommon, Ireland, she was the daughter of William and Margaret (Flannagan) Taylor. She immigrated to America at 19 years old, where she was employed by some prominent families on Providence's East Side until she wed in 1948.Margaret was the proprietor of Doyle's Variety Store on Elmwood Ave in Providence for 30 years until her retirement.She was the cherished mother of Rev. Maureen Doyle, with whom she resided, John "Jack" III and his wife Helen of West Warwick, Kevin T. and his wife Donna of Barrington and George R. and his wife JoAnn of Providence. She was the proud grandmother of John, Michael, Shannon, Jeremy and Brendan Doyle; and John and Michael Calcagni. She was the sister of Annie Gallagher of Ireland, and the late William, George, Hubert and John Taylor;Mary Leach and Eileen Morris.Funeral will be held on Friday at 9:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in St. Joseph Church, Hope St., Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
