Mariana (Arroyo) Mercado, 77, of North Kingstown and formerly of Florida passed away November 30, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Santiago Mercado who passed away this April.
Mariana was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico on October 17, 1935, she was the only daughter of Segundo and Telesfora (Perez) Arroyo.
She was the mother of Edgar, Edwin, Santiago, Jr., Miriam and Liduvina; grandmother of Marya, Mia, Michele, Anthony, Mariana, Marisa, Austin, Amanda, Avalon and Marina and great grandmother of Alana, Caleb, Elysia and Lincoln.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 am in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a service in the funeral home at 10:00 am. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
