Providence Marianne F. Fitzgerald, 67, of Providence, died Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles P. Fitzgerald. They were married for forty-three years. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Anna I. (Di Iorio) Marcello, she was a lifelong city resident. Mrs. Fitzgerald was a school teacher for the Providence School Department for twenty years before retiring in 2006. Beside her husband, she leaves three sons, Garrett S. Fitzgerald, and his wife Donna, Matthew C. Fitzgerald, and his wife Christine, and Ian G. Fitzgerald, and his wife Jessica; a brother, Joseph R. Marcello; a sister, Joanne L. Marcello, and four grandchildren, Ael, Erin, John and Claire Fitzgerald. The funeral will be held Monday, at 8:45 am, from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Pius V Church, Eaton Street, Providence. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours, Sunday, 3 - 6 pm.
