Marie B. Badessa

She was the daughter of the late Prof. Pellegrino S. and Mary (Carrier) Basso; wife of the late John D. “Jiggs” Badessa; beloved mother of John Badessa (former PFD), Robert Badessa (former PPD) and his wife DeeDee, Steven Badessa (former PPD) and his wife Victoria, Tracy Morgan (Sp.Ed. Teacher) and her husband John, and the late Lynn Lemois (R.N.) and her husband Roger; grandmother of John, Kimberly, Jayson, Melissa, Nicole, Michelle, Amanda and Tyler; great-grandmother of Jacob, Zane, Liliana, Riley, Aidan, Chase, Kyson, and Dax; sister of Orest Basso, Evelyn Mainelli, Paul Basso and the late Hugo Basso, Frank Basso, Phyllis Nash, Josephine Fratus, Louise Madancy, Agnes Gould and Herbert Basso.

Marie loved talking about politics and traveling through Europe. As a communicant of St. Anthony Church in Providence, Marie enjoyed volunteering and singing in the church choir. Marie loved telling jokes, playing cards, and talking about all the old times and memories of her childhood with her family.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30-10:30 AM in the St. Anthony Mission Church, 549 Plainfield Street, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM, celebrated by Fr. Joseph Protano. Burial will be private in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.

When attending the Mass, please park in the school parking lot directly behind the church. For those who cannot attend, the Mass will be livestreamed on the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home Facebook page at 10:30 AM.
