Smithfield: Troppoli, Marie G., 95, of Mayfield Street, Greenville, died Wednesday at the Heritage Hills Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Albert V. Troppoli. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Gaetano and Adalgisa (Santopadre) Giona. She had been a resident of Greenville for the last 42 years. Mrs. Troppoli was a surgical technician in the operating room at the former Homeopathic Hospital now known as Roger Williams General Hospital for 17 years before retiring in 1946. She was a communicant of Saint Philip Church. She is survived by her beloved son Carl D. Tropolli with whom she made her home. She was a sister of the late Margaret Petrucelli.
