Mario A. Corse

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Corrado and Caterina (Simone) Corse.

Mario was a meat cutter, manager and member of the United Food & Commercial Workers Union. He also served in the US Army as a paratrooper and with the Military Police unit overseas in both Korea and Japan. Mario and Anna enjoyed the summer months and never missed an opportunity to spend time at the beach.

He was the father of Mario A. Corse, Jr. and his wife Dale, Peter C. Corse and his wife Sheila and the late Robert, Frank and John Corse. He was also father-in-law to Katrina Corse, grandfather of Bonnie, Neil, Jeffrey, Lauren, Meaghan, Lindsey and Camryn and a great- grandfather. He was the brother of the late Corrado Corse, Thomas Corse and Esterina Isabella.

His visitation and funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhode Island Veterans Home, 480 Metacom Avenue, Bristol, RI 02809.
