Mario Baez, 84, passed away October 30, 2021 at West Shore Health Center. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was a son of the late Raymundo and Isabel Baez. He was the beloved husband of the late Ramona N. Baez; loving father of Gisele Polanco, Clara Baez-Martinez, Francisco Baez, and Hector Baez; cherished grandfather of Danilvia Ramos, Daiana Almodovar, Angelica Newsome, Mariel Polanco, Leticia Baez, Justin Baez, Denise Polanco, Diane Polanco, Francis Baez, Maite Baez, and Francisco Baez Jr.; and adored great-grandfather of Adriel Camejo, Arianna Newsome, Avalie Almodóvar, Hunter Green, Amiya Almodóvar, Maddox Green, Arian Camejo, Aria Camejo, Madison Green, Artist Camejo and Justin Baez Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITATION Friday 4:00-7:00 PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Ave, Providence. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org/ri.
