

Marlene worked for B.J.’s Wholesale Club as a Membership Customer Service Representative for 25 years, retiring in 2010. She was also a typist in the 1960s at the St Bartholomew’s parish and a sales associate at Avery Piano in Providence after graduating from Central High School in 1956.
She loved bowling and was on the “first nighters bowling team” in years past. Passionate about vocal performing, she sang and performed in various shows and plays in the Providence area CYO, as a youth and young adult.
She was the mother of Robert R. Paglia and his wife Tanya and David J. Paglia and his wife Michelle; grandmother of Robert Paglia, Jr. and Jade Paglia and sister of Silvio Gliottone and the late Paul and Josephine “Tina” Gliottone, Viola Caruso and Anna Antonelli.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in Holy Cross Church, 645 Hartford Avenue, Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 4-8 PM. www.romanofuneralhome.com.
