Martha Toby Sirkis Jacobs

JACOBS, MARTHA T. (Sirkis), 81, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Monday, 29 October 2012. She was the wife of the late Donald Jacobs. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Rebecca (Fisher)Sirkis and sister of the late Bella Cohen, Oscar Sirkis, Sidney Sirkis, and Jonah Sirkin. Martha was a school crossing guard for the City of Cranston for over twenty years before retiring in 1996. She volunteered at Temple Torat Yisrael’s Bingo and was a member of their choir. Martha leaves her four children: Laura Jacobs Mathes and her husband Dennis of Shippensburg; Jeffrey M. Jacobs of Tampa, Florida; Richard L. Jacobs and his wife DeAnna of Monterey, California; and Hope E. McCrickard of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Martha was the proud grandmother of five granddaughters: Emily Danielle Jacobs; Hannah Jacobs; Deborah Bella Mathes; Kara McCrickard; and Rebecca Cominoli, and had one great-grandson, Ari Cominoli. A graveside service will be held at Lincoln Park Cemetery Sunday, November 4th at 9:30 AM. Shiva will be private.
