Martha Perez Lugo

Martha Perez Lugo of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026. She was 62. Born in the Dominican Republic, Martha was the beloved daughter of Amado Felipe Perez Castro and Elsa Maria Lugo.

Martha was a loving and devoted mother to Carmen Perez (and her husband, Peter Gallant), Estefany Lugo Perez, and Jimy Rodriguez (and his fiancée, Maria Virgina Gutierrez Consepcion). She adored her many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, who brought immense joy and happiness to her life. Martha was also the cherished sister of Miguel Amado Lugo (and his wife, Jacqueline Lugo Blanco), Maria Alejandra Lugo, and half-sister to Dominga Mercedes Perez.

A woman of deep faith, Martha's love for God guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and strength she shared with those around her. Her faith sustained her through life's challenges and inspired her unwavering dedication to her family, whom she loved above all else. She found her greatest fulfillment in caring for her loved ones and creating cherished memories with them.

Martha was employed at Nation Chain in Warwick, where she was known for her hard work, dedication, and warm spirit. She touched the lives of many coworkers and friends, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Martha will be remembered for her generous heart, her steadfast faith, her love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of her children, grandchildren, family members, and many friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Visitation will be held at the Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI 02904.

Though she will be deeply missed, Martha's family finds comfort in their faith and in the countless memories of a life filled with love, devotion, and grace.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Martha fue una madre amorosa y dedicada para Carmen Perez (y su esposo, Peter Gallant), Estefany Lugo Perez y Jimy Rodriguez (y su prometida, Maria Virgina Gutierrez Consepcion). Adoraba a sus numerosos nietos, sobrinas y sobrinos, quienes le brindaron una inmensa alegría y felicidad a lo largo de su vida. Martha también fue la querida hermana de Miguel Amado Lugo (y su esposa, Jacqueline Lugo Blanco), Maria Alejandra Lugo, y media hermana de Dominga Mercedes Perez.

Mujer de profunda fe, el amor de Martha por Dios la guio durante toda su vida y se reflejó en la bondad, compasión y fortaleza que compartía con quienes la rodeaban. Su fe la sostuvo durante los desafíos de la vida e inspiró su inquebrantable dedicación a su familia, a quienes amaba por encima de todo. Encontraba su mayor satisfacción en cuidar de sus seres queridos y crear con ellos recuerdos entrañables.

Martha trabajaba en Nation Chain, en Warwick, donde era conocida por su dedicación, arduo trabajo y espíritu cálido. Tocó la vida de muchos compañeros de trabajo y amigos, dejando una huella imborrable en todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerla.

Martha será recordada por su corazón generoso, su fe inquebrantable, su amor por la familia y la alegría que brindaba a quienes la rodeaban. Su legado perdura en la vida de sus hijos, nietos, familiares y muchos amigos, quienes siempre llevarán su recuerdo cerca de sus corazones.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo en la Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home, de 9:00 a. m. a 11:00 a. m., el miércoles 19 de agosto de 2026, seguido de un servicio funerario a las 11:00 a. m. Posteriormente, se realizará el entierro en North Burial Ground, 5 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI 02904.

Aunque será profundamente extrañada, la familia de Martha encuentra consuelo en su fe y en los innumerables recuerdos de una vida llena de amor, dedicación y gracia.
