Mary T. Grant

Mary T. Grant, age 86, of Coventry, died Monday at the Riverview Healthcare Center.She was the wife of the late Daniel K. Grant. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Andrew and Evelyn M. (Morrissey) Ferguson. She was a resident of Johnston for 22 years before moving to Coventry three years ago. Mary was employed as a secretary for the Department of Transportation for the State of Rhode Island for 23 years until retirement. She was the past president of the Amie J. Forand Tenant Association, and a former commissioner of the Town of Johnston Housing Authority. She was a member of the Board of Directors for Forand Community Corp, Memorial Community Corp, and Rosemont Community Corp. Mary is survived by a son, Edward K. Grant and his wife Darlene of Hope, RI, two daughters, Evelyn M. Byron and her husband Paul of Cape Coral, FL, and Andrea E. "Honey" Kane, and her husband Stephen of Stonington,CT, a brother, Charles F. Ferguson of Warwick, a sister-in-law, Barbara M. Ferguson, six grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Henry F., Raymond J., William A., Edward A. Ferguson, and Dorothy E. Fisette. Mary's funeral will be held Friday morning at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick, RI 02886. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am in Saint Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
