

CoventryMary L. (Costanzo) Masterson, formerly of Princeton Avenue, Coventry passed away peacefully on November 23rd, 2016 at Alpine Nursing Home, Coventry. She was the loving and devoted wife of the late James G. Masterson for 49 years. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Assunta (Raimondo) Costanzo. She is survived by a son, James M. Masterson of West Warwick, a daughter, Laurie A. Hebert and her husband Roger, of Coventry and three grandchildren; Joshua Masterson, and twin granddaughters Amanda Hebert and Megan Hebert. She was the sister of the late Raffele Costanzo, Vincenzo Costanzo, Philomena Notorianni and Nicolina Capoverdi. She also leaves behind her brothers James Costanzo, Anthony Costanzo and sister-in-law Jennie Costanzo. Mrs. Masterson retired from the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals (BHDDH) and was a former member of the AFSCME AFL-CIO, Local 1350. She was a faithful communicant of St. John and Paul Church, Coventry, a frequent visitor at the Coventry Senior Center and a member of the Red Hat Society. Known to the family as "Mama" she enjoyed cooking, crochet, bingo, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 8:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt. 117), Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John & Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, West Warwick.
