CranstonMcSweeney, Mary E.,90,formerly of Lambert Street, died Thursday at the Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Providence. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late John J. and Mary A. (McNamara) McSweeney, she had lived in Cranston for many years before moving to Providence nine years ago. Miss McSweeney was a claims examiner for the State of Rhode Island, Department of Employment Security, for over thirty years before retiring. She was a communicant of Saint Matthew Church, Cranston, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. She leaves two sisters; Catherine T. McNulty of Florida, Helen Walter of Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Brendan P. McSweeney, Kevin F. McSweeney, Thomas D. McSweeney, Margaret Horiagon, Ann Balmforth, Agnes L. Cooney, and Irene P. Maine. Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning, from 8:00am to 9:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road (Rt.117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Saint Matthew Church, Elmwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in Saint Ann Cemetery.
