Mary A. Rainone

Mary Agnes (McMaugh) Rainone, 95, of North Providence, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael A. “Mike” Rainone, with whom she shared 70 years of marriage until his passing in July 2021. Mary was the daughter of the late Peter and Agnes (Bramah) McMaugh and daughter-in-law of the late Antonio and Michelina (Rainone) Rainone.

She was the devoted mother of Michael Rainone and his wife Donna, Margaret M. Rainone, and Ellen Kwiatkowski and her husband Gregory; loving grandmother of Anthony Rainone and his wife Caitlin, Michael Rainone and his wife Justyna, Alexander Kwiatkowski and his wife Megan, and Edward Kwiatkowski; and great-grandmother of Michelangelo and Victoria Rainone. She was also the sister of the late Helen (Arthur) Janelle, James (Thelma) McMaugh and Raymond McMaugh.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8:30-9:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Augustine Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Graveside burial will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston.

The Rainone family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at Cherry Hill Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the compassionate care they gave Mary for the past five months.
