Mary Pannone Russo

Mary (Pannone) Russo, 95, of the Village at Waterman Lake, formerly of Metcalf Street, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 3, 2014. She was the wife of the late Americo A. Russo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Anna (Baccari) Pannone. She was the loving mother of Geraldine “Gerry” DelPonte and her late husband Richard M. DelPonte, Sr., Laraine Quimby and her husband Frederick, Maria Russo and Roberta Burley; devoted grandmother of Dawn Quillen, Richard DelPonte, Jr., Lorilyn Hall, Brian Quimby, Jason Burley and Jamie Falso; and great-grandmother of Garret, Alexa, Gianna, Ariana, Francesca, Lucia, Marcella, Emmaline, Abigail, Gabrielle, Joshua and Nathan. She was the sister of the late Angie Landolfi, Clara Cardi, Millie DeSocio, Vincent, Ralph, Frank and Joseph Pannone.

Mary was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and was a member of the St. Jude Society. She enjoyed cooking and attending all family festivities.

Visitation and funeral will be held Saturday, 9-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Graveside burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Avenue, Providence, RI 02907.
