Melina Petrucci

She was the beloved wife of the late Albert M. Petrucci Sr. for 66 years; daughter of the late Alexander and Oliva (Moretti) Pelli; mother of Albert M. Petrucci Jr. and his late wife Kay, Charlene M. Papagan and her husband Alex, Marcia A. Petrucci, Melinda O. Knight and her husband Jonathan; sister of Roger Pelli; grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 3, step-grandmother of 6, and step-great-grandmother of 18. She is predeceased by her grandson Kristopher J. Cotugno and her brothers Frank, Anthony and John Pelli.

Melina “Millie” was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her greatest love was her family. She was a beloved mother to her children, Nana to grandchildren and Nanee to her great grandchildren. When her children had grown, Melina spent her evenings enjoying ballroom dancing with her beloved husband, Albert.

Melina was a wonderful seamstress, baker and cook. Her holiday cookies and cakes were works of art, an expression of love for her family. As a seamstress, she created clothing for herself, her children and grandchildren. She was the consummate homemaker.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, with visitation from 9-10:00 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Pius V Church, 55 Elmhurst Avenue, Providence.
