Melinda Gerardi

Born in S. Oliva, Pontecorvo (FR) Italy, she was the daughter of Antonio and Olimpia (Anassa) Pagliarini.

She came to the US in April 1960 and settled in Cranston. She was seamstress and she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Mrs. Gerardi was a member of St. Mary Church in Cranston, she was a member of the Women Auxiliary and of the Cranston Knightsville Senior Center.

She leaves a daughter, Angelina Ferro and her husband John, a son Alessandro “Rino” Gerardi and his wife Patrizia (Troccoli), all of Cranston. Mrs. Gerardi was the grandmother of John A. Ferro and wife Christine (Pelot) of CT. David L. Ferro, Peter L. Gerardi and wife Jennifer (Marino), Stefanie Gerardi and Roberto D. Gerardi. She is the great-grandmother of Alysa, Cara & Matthew Ferro and Alexis Gerardi. She was sister of Livia Moretta and Damiana Moretta of Italy and a brother, the late Natale Pagliarini of Italy. Mrs. Gerardi is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral and visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:30 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
