BLAKE, MELVYN, age 81, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Patricia (Pincsak) Blake; they were happily married for 56 years. Born in Lawrence, MA, he was a son of the late Alan and Beatrice (Posternak) Blake.
Mel had many passions in his life, was intensely dedicated to his family and friends, and was active in many philanthropic, educational, and social organizations. He cared greatly and touched the lives of countless people.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his twin daughters Jane Cramer and her husband Darryl and Sarah Klayman and her husband Jeffrey; four loving grandchildren – Ethan and Collin Cramer and Savannah and Haley Horton; brother Frank Blake; and sister Madeline Blake.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Shiva will be held on May 25 from 4:00-6:00 at Temple Beth El in Providence, RI and on May 26 from 5:00-7:00 at the home of Sarah Klayman, 247 Cocasset St, Foxboro, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Temple Beth El.
