"Mickey" was not a great man, maybe a great friend because he chose to escape life's responsibility's and be a friend to others he drank and played golf or hunted with. The difference is they went home to families and were responsible, he never left the the bar stool. My father last saw me over 24 years ago. Mickey walked out after I spent about $900 on school supplies to go to college, mind you, he was not paying for college, I was (He never even offered to help) but when he realized me having to have clothes and other normal items like BOOKS to start school he just told me I was and idiot who was wasting my time and left . Mind you before that he never had helped me in anyone way. He never paid he child support, he left me on the curb so many Saturdays waiting for him to show when I was young I can't count. He was never there for me or anyone except his friends. When I was 27 I found out I had sister, not from him, but from a random chance meeting while out one night, I was hurt as was my mother who found out when I did. Mickey was a failure in life, and a father. He worked at the lottery because my mother got him the job. He worried more about shooting deer and being the best golfer he could be, then being a father. I can tell you honestly, he never even bought me a Christmas gift, may God strike me dead if I am lying. My life is wonderful because I aspired to be everything he was not, I am a business owner, a pilot, and successful. I am blessed with wonderful friends, an education and the memory of a wonderful mother. I also remember when I was accepted Mosses Brown School, my mother told my father and he said " why would you spend that much money on a kid", he was wrong, and my success is do to my mother. Everything I said is true, I am his son, so I hope this is not deleted, everyone deserves to know the truth about my father. The " good friend and great guy" that everyone thinks "Mickey" is.. he was a failure of a man. very sad, but true.
