McCarty, Michael John 70, died unexpectedly March 25, 2017. He was the loving husband of Sheila (Meiller) McCarty, and loving father of Christopher Michael McCarty. Mike was born in Waltham, MA to the late Dr. Raymond and Mary (Riley) McCarty. He is survived by his sisters, Mary Rose Griffin and Geraldine Ballotti, brother Thomas (Colette) McCarty, and many nieces and nephews. Mike graduated from Boston College, then studied communications at Boston University. He worked as a news producer at WJAR TV until his retirement in 2006.Michael was the best son, brother, uncle, husband and father any family could ask for. His gentle, unassuming spirit will be greatly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd, Warwick. All are welcome.
