

EXETER - SABATINO, Michael E., Jr., 64, of Purgatory Road, died peacefully on Tuesday at his home. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth L. (Taylor) Sabatino. They had been married for 44 years. Born in Providence, the son of the late (Ret. Chief Prov. FD) Michael E. and Ida C. (Gautieri) Sabatino, he had lived in Providence for most his life before moving to Exeter 12 years ago. Mr. Sabatino was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years until he retired in 2004, and was a member of the American Letter Carrier's Association. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a life member of the DAV. He had formerly been a coach for the Elmhurst Little League. Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Karen A. Campopiano and her husband Kevin of Richmond, Diane M. Cook and her husband Gregg of Johnston, Michael E. Sabatino, III and his wife Michelle of Coventry, and Elizabeth A. Sabatino of Exeter; his sisters Ida D. Fagnant of Sandwich, MA and Carol J. Renzi of North Providence, and his grandchildren Kevin M. Campopiano, Jr. and Devan R. Campopiano, Gregg M. Cook, Jr., Michael E. Sabatino, IV and Alyssa J. Sabatino. He was the grandfather of the late Daniel D. Cook and Jared Campopiano. His funeral will be Saturday at 8:30am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Bernard Church, 410 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-8pm.
