Johnston Michael J. Wetzel, 51, of Johnston, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013, with loved ones by his side. Born in Providence, he was the son of Edmund F. Wetzel, Jr. and the late Claire (DeStefano) Wetzel. Besides his father, he leaves three sons, Vincent A. Wetzel, Cameron M. Wetzel, and Jaymes T. Wetzel, a brother, Steven E. Wetzel, two sisters, Diane M. Wetzel and Alesia J. Payne and her husband David, and two nephews, Matthew LaCroix, and David Payne III. Mr. Wetzel was the owner & operator of J & C Auto Sales, Inc. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, at 10:00 am, in Holy Apostle Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Road, Cranston, to which relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.In lieu of flowers, donations to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in Michael's memory would be appreciated.
