Michelle Barbara Sanzi

Michelle Barbara Sanzi (Thibault), 61, passed away August 28, 2024. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Raymond G. Thibault and Barbara (Petrucci) Cournoyer. Stepdaughter of Janet (Matarese) Thibault.

She was the former wife of Walter Sanzi. Beloved mother of Nicholas D. Sanzi, Emilee N. Barbary and her husband Richard, and Peter J. Sanzi. Sister of Raymond G. Thibault Jr. and his wife Nancy, Mark Thibault and his wife Jeanette, and Jason Thibault and his wife Christina. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

She was the former assistant tax assessor for the City of Providence.

While working full time she also raised her three children and cared for her Grandmother.

She enjoyed family trips to Block Island, New Hampshire, and Vermont, amongst other places, and cherished those moments together.

The holidays were most important to her. She would go out of her way to make every one special.

She will be remembered with affection and gratitude by those close to her.

She cared for others more than herself and made many sacrifices in her life. Her love was unconditional. Her kindness was evident at every moment in simple yet meaningful gestures. She loved her family, her children, her nieces and nephews, and would do anything for them. There was never a day she woke, thinking of herself. She was always thinking of what she could do for those she cared about.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 5 from 3:00pm - 4:00pm, followed by a service at 4:00 pm in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
