Mildred Trieff

TRIEFF, MILDRED (FRIEDMAN), 95, of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at Sakonnet Bay Manor in Tiverton, RI. Mildred was married for 70 years to the late Abraham Trieff. Mildred was born in the Bronx, NY on November 14, 1919 to the late Samuel and Riva Friedman. Besides living in Connecticut for a short time, she has been a Fall River resident for a majority of her life. She devoted her life to raising a family and is survived by three sons; Harvey Trieff and his wife Judy of Fall River, Richard Trieff and his longtime companion Donna Liversedge of Fall River, and Ronald Trieff and his wife Sheila of Newburyport. She leaves six grandchildren; Elizabeth Denly, Daniel Trieff, Cindy Phillips, Anne Mandell, Jessica Reardon, and Emily Ogan and eight great grandchildren; Brett, Zacharia, Evan, Alex, Sadie, Ruby, Oliver, and Avraham. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marvin Friedman of Springfield, NJ and the late Sylvia Olstein of Fall River. Mildred was very active in many organizations throughout her life. She was a past member of ORT, Hadassah, and the Sisterhood of Congregation Adas Israel. She was a member of Temple Beth El, the Fall River Jewish Home, and the Sisterhood of Temple Beth El. The family expresses special gratitude to the entire staff of Sakonnet Bay Manor for their devotion and exceptional care they offered her for the past five years. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 11th at 12:00PM at Temple Beth El, 385 High Street, Fall River, with burial in Temple Beth El Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Fall River Jewish Home, 538 Robeson Street, Fall River, MA 02720. Shiva will be held at the home of Harvey and Judy Trieff Wednesday February 11th 4-7PM.
