Born in Providence, she was the loving daughter of the late William J. Irons and Gracie (Lee) UpChurch.
Monica graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and recieved her Bachelors Degree from Rhode Island College. She later went on to work as a cashier at Wal Mart. She was a loving and caring person to all that came in contact with her.
She leaves three brothers, Ryan Correia, Duane Fortes, Curtis Lee, three sisters, Deana Irons, Vivian Gibbs, and Reana Edmonds, as well as numernous nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Douglas Samuel.
Her visitation will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, West Greenwich.
