Nicholas DeMarco Sr., 91, passed away September 30, 2014. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Carmello and Concetta (Abbenante) DeMarco; father of Carolyn J. Johns, Nicholas DeMarco Jr. and the late James DeMarco; and brother of the late Theresa Marsolli, Della Donahue, Fiore, William, Robert and James DeMarco.
Nicholas retired from the State of Rhode Island, Department of Health and had also worked in the family owned Providence Ice Cream Shop.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday 9:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence. Burial in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
