Born in North Providence, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Bridget (Maciocio) Santillo; husband of the late Antonetta (Flori) Santillo; devoted father of Susan M. Cotoia and her husband Richard and Brenda A. Bianchi and her husband Kenneth; cherished grandfather of Lauren Clarke and her husband Chris, Jennifer Cotoia, Andrew Bianchi, Leah Sandy and her husband Phil; great-grandfather of Nicholas and Benjamin Clarke; brother of the late Angela Alves, Louis Santillo, Anthony Santillo, and Romeo Santillo.
Nicholas loved being with his family and especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed visits from his great grandchildren. He was a big fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed dancing to the sounds of Big Band music. His hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and visiting casinos.
