Patrick J. O'Rourke

Born in Somerville, MA, he was the son of the late Patrick J. and Lillian N. (Mehigan) O’Rourke. Patrick was a resident of Providence for 45 years before moving to Warwick in 2009 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a custodian for the City of Providence school department for 25 years before retiring in 1998 and in his retirement worked for Sudexo/Marriott in the same capacity until 2003.

Patrick was the loving father of Kathleen N. Balassone (former husbands: Magdy Bader and Michael Balassone), Thomas M. O’Rourke (wife Janice (Santos) O’Rourke), and Maureen T. O’Rourke (former husband the late Christopher Reynolds). He was the beloved grandfather of Omar Bader (wife Basma), Shannon Ciaravino (husband Paul), and Anthony Balassone; and cherished great-grandfather of Amalia Bader. He also leaves many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marie Reardon and Helen O’Rourke.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:00 am at St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Avenue, Warwick with military honors to follow immediately after Mass.
