Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Paul and Evelyn (DeCesare) Angelone.
At just 14 years old, he met the love of his life, beginning a remarkable journey together that would span a lifetime. Their enduring love was an inspiration to all who knew them. He graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and went on to dedicate 40 years of service to the United States Postal Service, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment.
In retirement, he enjoyed spending time at Foxwoods Resort Casino, especially in the race book, where he could relax and follow the races. He also loved traveling with friends, particularly cruising, visiting Saratoga and Las Vegas. He was a devoted fan of the New York Yankees and New England Patriots. Above all else, his greatest joy was his family.
He was the devoted father of Paula Silva and her husband Ron, Peter Angelone, and Kristen Caracciolo and her husband David; cherished grandfather of Stephen Silva, Zachary Rastelli, Benjamin Rastelli, Emma Rastelli, Peter Angelone and Alyssa Angelone; and great-grandfather of Layla. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Bert Pellegrini and his wife, Janice and his sister-in-law, Cynthia Boudreau, as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his loving grandpups, Lucy, Zoe and Braxton.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 PM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence.
