Paul was born on September 1, 1947, a son of the late Italo and Anna (Petracca) Marianetti. He grew up in Providence, RI and moved to Florida in 1999. In November 1994, Paul retired from the Providence Fire Department where he served as Battalion Chief.
Paul served in the 107th Signal Company division of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and fought for the country he loved so much. He graduated from Providence College where he received his Bachelors of Science degree. Paul was an active member of the Moose Lodge, Elks and Sons of Italy. He was an avid New York Yankees and New England Patriots fan and looked forward to watching the games with his family.
Paul’s heart and home was open to all who met him. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paulette (Sears) Marianetti; his children, Jeffrey Marianetti, Kristen (Marianetti) Robbins and her husband Craig Robbins; his grandchildren whom he adored, Craig Jr., Caden and Kennadi Robbins; his brothers Anthony and Robert Marianetti, his sister Joan Bianco and her late husband Joseph Bianco; several nieces and nephews, as well as countless family members, friends and pets.
Visitation will be held Friday, 4-7 p.m. with funeral services Saturday at 10 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
