

Paula M. (Lonardo) Paliotta, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island. Born and raised in Providence, Paula was the youngest of five children of the late Samuel and Anna (Calise) Lonardo.
A devout Christian and passionate pastor, Paula dedicated her life to faith, prayer, and service. She was known for her heartfelt prayers, inspirational writings, and the spiritual guidance she offered to many. Her ministry extended into nursing homes, where she led prayer meetings and offered comfort and companionship to residents and staff alike.
Paula was also a gifted artist, expressing her creativity through her artwork and her love of nature. She found joy in tending to her plants and watching cowboy movies, which brought her peace and nostalgia.
She was the cherished mother of Christopher Leonard and his wife Erica Marcotte; loving grandmother of Cory Placella and his girlfriend Linsey Sprague; and proud great-grandmother of Cadence, Gianna, Raiya, and Carmino. Paula was a kind and devoted aunt, and a treasured sister to Camille Crowe and Ouilda Masi. She was predeceased by her brothers Samuel and Pasquale Lonardo.
Paula’s warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and the many friends she prayed with and cared for throughout her life.
Her visitation will be held on Monday October 13, 2025 From 9:30-11:30 AM at the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Burial will be private.
