She was the daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (Cambio) Barbato; wife of William J. Parsons, Sr.; mother of William J. Parsons, Jr.; sister of Jean Pitochelli, Vilma DiCola, Deanne Payette, Camille Numerich and Maryann Phelps.
Paula had worked as a school teacher before retiring. She was devoted to her husband Bill and son Billy. They were the light in her life. She brought laughter and joy to all that knew her. Her vivacious personality, loving heart and inner beauty will be missed by all who loved her. She loved life and lived it to the fullest with passion, an open heart and humor. Paula will forever be a shining star to her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
