Peter A. Furia, 83, passed away January 16, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Flanagan) Furia. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pietro and Bianca (Fantozzi) Furia. Peter was the father of Michael F. Furia, Peter A. Furia Jr., and Matthew M. Furia; brother of Connie Iannuccilli, Gwen Ranucci, Roland Furia, John Furia and the late Augusto Furia.
Peter was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service for 44 years before retiring.
His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Raymond Church, 1240 North Main Street, Providence.
