Ralph L. "Rusty" Riedeman Jr.

September 14, 1955 – February 28, 2025
Obituary of Ralph L. "Rusty" Riedeman Jr.
IN THE CARE OF

Romano Funeral Home

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ralph L. "Rusty" Riedeman Jr., who passed away peacefully on February 28, 2025. Rusty was a quiet man possessed of profound character, known for his unwavering work ethic, humility, and kindness. He lived with a soft-spoken strength that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born to Ralph L. Riedeman and Shirley A. (Schofield) Riedeman, Rusty grew up with his family in the Silver Lake community in Providence, RI, where he learned the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion. He was predeceased by his parents and his dear sister, Rita E. “Winky” Riedeman.

Rusty is survived by his son, Evan M. Park, his sister, Patricia A. Riedeman, and his brother, John H. Riedeman. He was also predeceased by his nephew, Matthew J. DePari, whose loss was deeply felt by the entire family. Rusty’s legacy continues through his nieces, Jessica R. Riedeman, Gianna M. Riedeman, and Amaya A. Johnson, each of whom he loved dearly.

Throughout his life, Rusty was fortunate to be beloved by many extended family members, including aunts, uncles, and cousins in Minnesota and Rhode Island. He also leaves behind a wide circle of former clients and friends, all of whom admired his gentle demeanor and his steadfast, dependable ways.

Rusty’s quiet yet steady presence made him a trusted confidant and a source of unwavering support to those around him. Whether offering a helping hand or providing a calm, reassuring presence, Rusty was always there when needed.

Rusty’s life was humble in many ways yet rich with meaning. He worked tirelessly, not for recognition but because it was the right thing to do. While known for transforming homes with his skilled painting, it was in the private expression of his innate artistic talent that Rusty found solace, creating painted visions of the world around him.

His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew him, but his firm faith in being reunited with his loved ones offers comfort knowing that he is at peace surrounded by the love of family and with the Lord. Though Rusty is no longer with us, his legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love will continue to live on in our hearts forever.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, from 8:30-9:30 AM from the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Avenue, Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial to immediately follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph’s name to Our Lady of Grace Memorial Society, 4 Lafayette Street #2712, Johnston, RI 02919, would be greatly appreciated.
