Raymond F. Forrest, 81, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026 surrounded by his loving wife. He was the husband of Jo-Ann (D’Amico) Forrest. Next month they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Henry and Eva (Modelski) Forrest.
Ray was a Master Carpenter and was very skilled at his craft. Unique in his own way, he had a great passion for boating and was an avid fisherman.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his sister in laws and brother in laws, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
His visitation and funeral will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence.
Entombment to follow in the Saints Peter and Paul Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
