Raymond A. Kelly

Raymond A. Kelly, 76, passed away July 18, 2016. He was the husband of the late Evelyn M. (Grimshaw) Kelly. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Leo and Louise (DeRousi) Kelly. Ray was the loving father of Evelyn “Lynn” M. Kelly, Dawn Kelly-Russo and her husband Peter, Kimberly A. Mancone and her husband Paul, and Michealla J. Brough and her husband Walter; devoted grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 3; beloved brother of Leona Zienowicz and Patricia Parker; and companion of Michele G. Holben. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Ray served in the U.S. Navy from 1957-1961. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Bouffard Council and was an avid Red Sox and New York Giants fan.

Visitation will be held Friday, 4-7 p.m. with his funeral on Saturday at 8 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. in the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial with military honors will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
