He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Feeney) Lemerick. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Yvonne and Evelyn Lemerick.
Raymond leaves behind his devoted son, Raymond Lemerick, and his cherished grandson, Peyton Lemerick, both of whom he was endlessly proud. He was the loving brother of Elaine Sala, Margaret Steadman, and Roger Lemerick, and the late Cindy Lefrancois, Alfred Lemerick, and William Lemerick. He also leaves his dear friends, Jeff Sullivan and John Reardon.
Throughout his life, Raymond was a dedicated and hardworking driver for many companies. In the 1970s, he drove a school bus in Lincoln, and in the 1990s he operated a tour bus for Pawtuxet Valley, as well as RIPTA bus. His career later led him to play an instrumental role in building PRL Transportation, the company founded and operated by his son, Ray. Raymond worked side-by-side with him every day, contributing to its’ growth and success until his well earned retirement.
Raymond will be remembered for his loyalty, huge heart, his work ethic, and the deep love he held for his family and friends, as well as his neighbors. Anytime you saw him out and about, he more than likely was wearing his favorite color red unless he had on Dolphins, Celtics, or Red Sox attire. He was a die hard fan of the Miami Dolphins.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Donations in Raymond's memory can be made to the Gabrielle Dinsmore Fund in Support of the Pediatric Heart Center at Hasbro Children's Hospital.
