Goins, Richard T. Sr., 62, of Providence, passed away on Friday at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the husband of Mildred M. (Millar) Goins. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late A. Clinton and Rose (Bedrosian) Goins-Diaz. Richard was a head electrician and stage hand for the Providence Performing Arts Center for over 20 years. He served in the United States Marine Corps. He was Vice Chairman of the 12th Ward Democratic Committee in Providence. Besides his wife he leaves his children, Richard T. Goins, Jr. of Providence and Lori G. Maloney of Cranston, a brother, Clinton Goins of Cape Coral, FL and three grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Steven and Michael Diaz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Burial with military honors will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
