Born in Albany, New York, he was the son of Margaret (Filkins) Calabro and the late Thomas Calabro; husband of Joan A. (Crabtree) Calabro for 43 years; father of Jay R. Calabro and Julia A. Silverio; grandfather of 1 grandson; brother of Thomas Calabro, Jr. and Christine Sisson.
Amongst the many duties performed throughout his lifetime, Mr. Calabro had proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Thursday from 11-12 noon with a service at 12 noon in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Graveside burial with Military Honors will follow in the Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown. www.pontarellimarinofunerals.com
