Mr. Chaves was a polisher for Trifari, Inc. and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was the father of David Chaves and his wife JoAnn; grandfather of David, Jr. and Matthew and brother of the late Joseph and Manuel Chaves, Lena Rivets, Anna Bazar and Mary Silva.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence.
